Ghost Boys
My name is Colm Mc Colgan and I set up this site to help distribute my first short film, "Ghost Boys". I recently retired from a long career in digital technology, engineering and business and decided to use my new-found freedom and time to explore more creative interests.
I have called the site "West End Movies" . I come from the West End district in the town of Buncrana, Co Donegal, Ireland and it is where the local cinema has been located since 1932 (we also used have a dancehall called "Broadway").
Like everyone making short films, I got a lot of help from people in the local area and from the wider northern and western parts of Ireland. I have found that peoples' goodwill knows no bounds and I sincerely thank everyone for their input.

I hope to complete a second script in the next month or so and to continue to deepen my filmaking skills and experience.
To get started, I completed a course funded by Screen Ireland through their National Talent Academy for Film and Television led by Ardán in Galway, Ireland. The course was delivered by Póca Productions in County Donegal.
